The Second Wind Fund was founded in 2002 by Jeff Lamontagne, Dr. Marjorie Laird, and Scott Fletcher (pictured above from left to right).

 

Mission

The mission of Second Wind Fund is to decrease the incidence of suicide in children and youth by removing the financial and social barriers to treatment.

Youth We Are Helping

This 14 year old girl has started cutting her wrists again. She thinks of suicide and has a plan to use a rope, although she says she probably wouldn't do it. She recently lost a family member to suicide and thinks about his death a lot. Family has no insurance, no Medicaid.
