SWFMD Endowment

Initiated in 2005 after a generous gift from the individual Board of Directors at Front Range Bank, our endowment is intended to ensure the long-term viability of our work. We have placed significant controls on the use of the endowment principal. The goal is to never touch that principal, but to someday make some core pieces of our program sustainable via the interest that the endowment earns.

Youth We Are Helping

This 9 year old boy has been struggling with suicidal thoughts for several months. He is depressed and having trouble completing his school work. He had a conflict with a teacher and said he would hang himself. He told a student he hated school and would bring a gun to school. He has family stress, Mom is unemployed, and there is a lack of support at home. He feels detached, unable to speak to anybody about his problems, and has a sense of inadequacy. The school counselor said she felt that without SWFMD, the boy would not get help.
